Palace v Burnley – Team news preview

Last updated : 25 August 2006 By Nik Taylor

Two successive defeats have taken the gloss off Palace's impressive start to the season, but a win against Burnely tomorrow could see the Eagles return to the top of the table.

Peter Taylor has no new injury concerns ahead of the game, with long-term absentee Rhoys Wiggins the only player unavailable to him.

There are certain to be wholesale changes to the side that limped out of the Carling Cup against Notts County during midweek.

The likes of Darren Ward, Marco Reich and Clinton Morrison all failed to make an impact during that game, and Taylor is expected to revert to the side that started at Birmingham last weekend.

Burnley will be missing skipper Wayne Thomas after his dismissal in the Carling Cup defeat to Hartlepool. Keeper Danny Coyne is still sidelined by injury.
