Palace v Norwich – Team news preview

Last updated : 15 April 2005 By Nik Taylor

The biggest game of our season so far? Surely it must be. Norwich at home is a game we simply can’t afford not to win – especially with Southampton entertaining a travel-sick Aston Villa side at the same time tomorrow afternoon.

The good news is that both Gonzalo Sorondo and Danny Butterfield should be fit enough to start tomorrow – so the back-four should have a more solid look to it than the house-of-cards effort that collapsed so spectacularly at Goodison Park.

Iain Dowie is also expected to find a space on the bench for Nicola Ventola, after the striker completed 90 minutes for the reserves during midweek. Expect to see Sandor Torghelle get his shot at partnering AJ up front, after the Hungarian’s lively substitute appearance last Sunday.

Norwich are expected to field the same team that humbled Manchester United last week (well, you would, wouldn’t you). However, Arsenal loanee David Bentley is back from injury and may force his way into the side.

Probable Palace XI:

Kiraly
Butterfield Sorondo Hall Granville
Routledge Hughes Riihilahti Lakis
Torghelle Johnson
