Palace v Norwich. Match preview

Striker Shefki Kuqi overcame a calf injury to start the 2-2 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday and was withdrawn at half-time but the change was only tactical.

Alan Lee came on for Kuqi at Bramall Lane and will be hoping to keep his place as the Eagles hope to make it nine games unbeaten.

Fellow striker James Scowcroft made his return from a hamstring injury for the reserves last week and is pushing for a place on the bench.

Midfielder Neil Danns (ankle) and teenage defender Lee Hills (knee) are close to returning but the game will come too soon for them.

Norwich boss Glenn Roeder will assess the fitness of Ryan Bertrand and Antoine Sibierski before naming his side to face Palace.

On-loan Chelsea defender Bertrand was due to start against Charlton on Saturday but suffered a recurrence of a toe injury during the warm-up, with Adam Drury replacing him.

If Bertrand fails to prove his fitness, Drury should retain his place in the side against the Eagles.

Fellow loanee Sibierski has been sidelined with a foot injury, but Roeder revealed that the former Newcastle forward would return either against Palace or Nottingham Forest two days later.

Elliot Omozusi and Gary Doherty are set to be paired in defence once again and striker Leroy Lita will play the penultimate game of his loan spell before returning to parent club Reading.
