Palace v Plymouth – Team news preview

Last updated : 27 October 2006 By Nik Taylor

Two points from the last four games ain't good enough if we're hoping to be troubling the top six rather than the bottom three – so Palace need to get back to winning ways tomorrow.

That won't be easy against an in-form Plymouth that are six places and three points above us – but the easing of injury problems should give the Eagles a boost.

James Scowcroft and Jobi McAnuff both missed last Saturday's draw at Leicester, but the pair have recovered from their injuries and should be in the squad tomorrow.

Tom Soares took a knock last Saturday, but has shaken it off, while Danny Butterfield has continued his return to fitness with 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek. He's still a little way from first team fitness though.

Plymouth are missing their top scorer, Barry Hayles, as the veteran striker is suspended. Youngster Nick Chadwick will likely take his place.

Probable Palace XI:

Kiraly

Lawrence Ward Cort Borrowdale

Soares Fletcher Kennedy Reich

Morrison Kuqi
