Palace v Watford – Team news preview

Last updated : 05 May 2006 By Nik Taylor

Every Palace fan knows that, when it comes to the play-offs, we have a pedigree as good as any team.

However, all that history will count for nothing tomorrow afternoon, as we embark on yet another campaign through the most nerve-shredding set of football matches known to man.

Hopefully, by 2.00pm tomorrow, AJ and the boys will have established a comfortable lead to take to Vicarage Road. To that end, the good news is that Iain Dowie has no injury or suspension problems to deal with.

Aki Riikilahti and Wayne Andrews are both back to match fitness, while AJ and Michael Hughes should be buzzing after being rested for last Sunday's game at Sheffield United.

However, Watford are also at practically full strength and have players returning after being rested. Their key man, Marlon King, is back in the side after suspension.

The other thing every Palace fan knows is that we never do things the easy way, so it's sure to be an utterly terrifying game one way or the other. But here's hoping the Palace can notch a third win of the season over the Hornets.

COME ON YOU EAGLES!!!

Probable Palace XI:

Kiraly
Boyce Hall Ward Borrowdale
McAnuff Soares Watson Hughes
Johnson Morrison
