Kit Symons is once again available for selection in the match against bottom-placed Wimbledon, after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The former caretaker-manager is likely to retake his position in central defence on Saturday. However, Tony Popovic is rated doubtful for the match and is unlikely to play a part. Jamie Smith also misses out as he completes the last game of his three-match suspension.
Cedric Berthelin is expected to come in for Thomas Myhre, who has returned to Sunderland after the end of his loan period.
