Palace v Wolves – Team news preview

Last updated : 09 December 2005 By Nik Taylor

Palace take on another of the pre-season favourites tomorrow at Selhurst Park as Glenn Hoddle’s Wolves are the visitors.

Both sides have had an underwhelming campaign since leading the bookies' lists in August and sit level on 31 points in 8th and 9th positions.

Should Palace win tomorrow they could jump to 5th spot in the league, though they would still be at least 15 points behind second place Sheffield United.

The Eagles get a boost with news of the improbable return of winger Marco Reich. The German midfielder underwent hernia surgery recently and was expected to be out until the New Year.

However, he has made a far better recovery than expected and returned to full training this week. A starting place is probably beyond him, but Reich should be good for a place on the bench.

Palace have no new injury worries with Fitz Hall and Ben Watson shaking off minor knocks.

Wolves have a quartet of players struggling with hamstring injuries who will probably miss out. Strikers George Ndah and Kenny Miller face late fitness tests, while Colin Cameron and Leon Clarke are also carrying knocks.
