Palace win is big boost for Burley

Crystal Palace lifted some of the heat on manager George Burley with a dramatic 3-2 win over Watford at Selhurst Park. Burley has come under scrutiny with the Eagles lying bottom of the npower Championship table with just one win in their last nine matches. But two long-range strikes from Owen Garvan, to add to Darren Ambrose's classy opener, secured a much-needed three points for the south Londoners. Burley, though, insists he does not fear for his job despite their perilous position. "I'm not worried at all, all I can do is do my best," he said. "I haven't got a magic wand but all I can do is work hard. It's not going to happen overnight but if you're not winning people will speculate. "It's not a nice feeling not winning games, and we haven't been. We looked edgy and nervy but we scored three top-quality goals. It was nice to have an end product. There have been so many times this season where we have played well and lost. It's like any sport, you lose confidence if you are not winning, so this will help."
