Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce is reportedly interested in signing Palace midfielder Ben Watson.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a regular in the Eagles side over recent weeks, and has started to form a solid partnership in the middle with fellow youngster Tom Soares.
Pearce may be tempted to make a move in the January transfer window but with Watson tied to a Palace contract until 2008, Eagles boss Iain Dowie is under no pressure to sell.
