Doumbe - a central defender who has been used as an emergency right back - sat out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at basement side Charlton.

Skipper Karl Duguid reverted to right back from central midfield, with Luke Summerfield one of three players recalled to the side following the 3-0 home defeat by Derby.

Left back Chris Barker and Chris Clark both returned with Gary Sawyer and Rory Fallon making way although Fallon was a half-time replacement for Clark.

Manager Paul Sturrock employed a 4-4-1-1 formation but is expected to change to a more attack-minded formation and starting line-up for Tuesday's game.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock will be hoping Neil Danns can shake off an ankle injury.

The former Colchester midfielder has been named on the substitutes bench for the last two fixtures but following the departure of Ben Watson to Wigan and

Nick Carle's one-match ban, Warnock is left short on options in the middle of midfield.

Carle will miss the clash after accumulating five yellow cards this season while out-of-favour Carl Fletcher could earn a recall if Danns fails to make it.

Otherwise the Eagles have no new injury worries with Paddy McCarthy the only absentee with a shoulder injury.

Postponements and FA Cup fixtures have meant the Eagles have not played since January 31 when they lost 1-0 at home to Blackpool.
