Central defender Darren Powell has joined West Ham on a month’s loan, with a view to a permanent move.
Powell has been a fringe player throughout the Premiership season so far, and has found himself become fifth or sixth choice centre-back for the Eagles.
The 28-year-old will always be a Palace hero after his injury-time headed goal in last season’s play-off semi-final against Sunderland, which ulitmately saw the Eagles progress to the Millennium Stadium final.
