Routledge scores in England win

The England Under-20 team notched a win over Tunisia in their first match of the Toulon tournament, with Palace midfielder Wayne Routledge getting on the scoresheet.

Routledge, who is widely expected to complete a transfer to Spurs once he returns from the England tour, added the second goal in a 2-0 victory over the African side.

Darren Ambrose had opened the scoring for England just minutes into the second half, and Routledge quickly doubled the advantage with a 20-yard belter after being set up by Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Routledge continued to be in the thick of the action, first getting fouled by Kadri – a challenge for which the Tunisian was sent off – and then putting a cheeky lob narrowly wide when it looked as though he might score a second.
