Second Oldham move collapses

Pacy Oldham midfielder Paul Murray has turned down the opportunity to follow Iain Dowie to Selhurst Park.

The snub from Murray follows on from Oldham keeper Les Pogliacomi’s decision not to move to the Eagles. Both were approached by Dowie, and Palace had agreed a price for the pair with Oldham. However, the two deals broke down over personal terms.

"Palace might get back to me, but if it doesn’t happen this week I don’t think it will happen at all," Murray told the official Oldham web site.

"I’m not sure the situation will be resolved, but that’s fine because I enjoy playing for Oldham. Going to London would be a big move, so I would need to be satisfied it was right both financially and for my family."
