Sky blanks Palace once again

Sky Sports has delivered an astonishing snub to Palace and Southampton fans unable to get a ticket for Saturday’s crunch clash at sold-out Selhurst Park – by choosing not to show the game live.

With the title race already over and the European spots all but sealed, it was widely expected that Sky would move the Saturday 3pm kick-off time and get the crucial relegation six-pointer on TV.

But the rocket-scientists behind the sports channel’s schedules have decided West Brom’s trip to Manchester United will provide a more competitive match for their viewers.

Sky Sports will also show Chelsea v Charlton and Arsenal v Liverpool next weekend.

Palace haven’t been shown on Sky since February 14th. No other Premiership side has had longer since their last TV appearance.

There’s not a complete media blackout of the game though. Any fans who missed out on a ticket for this massive game will be able to listen to live commentary on BBC Radio Five Live.
