Emerging midfield star Tom Soares is set to sign a new deal keeping him at Selhurst Park.
The 18-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation over the last couple of weeks, with Liverpool and Fulham reportedly interested in taking him on.
But Iain Dowie is keen to keep hold of one of the success stories of the latter part of Palace’s season.
Dowie said: "Tom will sign a new deal within the next day or two.
"There is no reason why he would want to go anywhere else. He'll become a very good player.
"He's six feet two inches, is brave, quick, has good feet and there is a lot to come from him.
"It's good that there's speculation surrounding his future because it shows he is performing. We're going to revamp his contract. He's a regular in our first team and deserves to be rewarded."
