Sunderland linked with approach for Clyne

The highly rated 18 year old full back is a regular in the Palace first team and it does not surprise Neil Warnock that Premier sides are looking at him and fellow defender Victor Moses.

"There will be clubs sniffing round both Clyne and Victor, we have to put up with that," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.

"If Sunderland aren't interested in Clyne then there's something wrong.

"Whether Premier League clubs will put them in the first-team straight away is another question, but all clubs will be looking at young English players because of the new homegrown quota rules."

Warnock believes Clyne is worth £5m if Sunderland are serious about signing him.
