Palace boss Peter Taylor was disappointed his side did not come away from Plymouth with a point last night.
Taylor saw his side go down to a 1-0 defeat at Home Park, leaving the Eagles without a win on the road since the first day of the season.
The manager felt his side could have claimed a draw from the encounter, but put the blame on missed chances and tired players.
"It could have been a draw," said Taylor. "We had a very good chance with a cross - the best chance of the first half I think.
"I was quite happy with the first half, but in the second half I think we should have done a bit more.
"It's probably the first time I have said that for ages. Even though our results haven't been terrific, our performances have been good.
"We didn't create enough tonight. We have created a lot more than that over the last few matches.
And Taylor revealed he was forced to make substitutions after his first-choice players ran out of steam in the second half.
"Players are playing a lot of football lately and players get a touch tired and in the end it was a case of having fresh legs from the bench," he admitted.
"Hopefully they would have done something a bit different to create a chance but unfortunately it was not to be".
