Teddy's boy in Palace trial

Charlie Sheringham, son of veteran West Ham striker Teddy, has joined Palace on trial after being released by Ipswich Town.

The 17-year-old appeared in the match between Palace and Norwich reserves during the week, which the Eagles won 2-1.

He came on to replace Jon Macken up front after an hour of the game However, he couldn't add to the two second-half goals scored by Mark Hudson.
