Palace midfielder Sam Togwell is set to make his loan move to Port Vale a permananent one after agreeing a two-year deal with the Valiants.

However, the move is still dependent on the two sides agreeing a fee – with Palace asking for more than the undisclosed amount Vale are offering.

Port Vale have had Togwell on loan since November, and he has been one of their stars of the season.

Vale boss Martin Foyle said: "Sam has agreed to sign, but we just have to sort it out with Crystal Palace.

"I'm waiting to hear back from them, but we are hopeful of agreeing within the next couple of days.
