Iain Dowie has completed his second deal of the day after finalising the transfer of Darren Ward from Millwall.
The 26-year-old centre-back has joined from the Lions on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be around the £1.5 million mark.
Ward has been Millwall’s Player of the Year for the past two seasons and will fill the gap left by Gonzalo Sorondo, whose one-year loan deal from Inter Milan has come to an end.
