Former Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock's support for the Londoners in Sunday's Coca-Cola Championship relegation decider against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough will surprise nobody. But Warnock, a dyed-in-the-wool Sheffield United fan, insists his allegiance has nothing at all to do with his lifelong rivalry with Wednesday, who must win their final match of the season to survive another season in the second tier and condemn Palace to life in League One. Warnock, who quit Palace to take charge of QPR shortly after the Eagles went into administration in January, spent two and a half years moulding a side capable of challenging for the play-offs at Selhurst Park before their Premier League dream turned, overnight, into a relegation nightmare. Warnock told Press Association Sport: "To be honest I've not been looking at this game through the eyes of a Blades fan at all. I'm seeing it solely as (former) Crystal Palace manager. "We had to put up with so much, it's only when I've come out of the situation that I realise just how hard we had worked to keep it going. "I want the right result for Palace, but that's got nothing to do with me being a Blade."
