Neil Warnock was full of praise for match-winner Sean Scannell after the youngster wrapped up three points for Palace in Saturday's home game against Sheffield Wednesday.
The 17-year-old was in the right place in the final minute to lob the Wednesday keeper and secure a fourth win in six for Warnock.
And the Palace boss was quick to congratulate the latest teenager to make a mark on the Eagles' first team.
"He is a sensible lad and he took his goal really well, like an old campaigner," said Warnock. "I thought it was going over the top from where I was standing. But I am delighted, it was a great time to score"
