Warnock looks for experience ahead of Cardiff match

Neil Warnock will restore a number of regulars to the first team squad for tonight's home game against Cardiff.

James Scowcroft, Tom Soares and Clint Hill all missed last weekend's win at Preston through suspension.

All three will return to the first team tonight, despite the good performance of the team in their absence.

"These lads will come back into the reckoning for tomorrow's game," Warnock told the official site. "No disrespect to the youngsters who were on the bench on Saturday, but it will be nice to know that you have players who you know can change the game."

But he stressed that the experience being built up by the youngsters in games such as the Preston match is valuable.

"It's a good experience for the lads," Warnock added. "Not being able to sign anybody has given young lads the opportunities that they can't get in training.

"Even the likes of Ben Kudjodji, who wasn't on the bench, will have benefitted. We took him to Preston and let him have a warm-up with us because we wanted him to get the atmosphere of being with the first team."
