The bookies have stopped taking bets on Neil Warnock to be the next manager of Crystal Palace, with the former Sheffield United boss considered a dead cert for the job.

William Hill has closed its book on who Simon Jordan will choose to replace Peter Taylor - with the Eagles' chairman admitting that Warnock has everything he wants in a manager.

Jordan, who already has a close friendship with Warnock, said, "We need an injection of something and someone like Neil Warnock will give us that. He is a winner and I am a winner."
