Watford v Palace. Early team news

Last updated : 28 February 2009 By Palace Reporter

Striker Kabba this week joined Oldham on loan while influential midfielder O'Toole moved to Championship rivals Sheffield United.

Goalkeeper Mart Poom is still sidelined with a shoulder injury while midfielder Gareth Williams has a continuing knee problem and it is uncertain when the experienced duo will return.

Midfielder Ross Jenkins overcame an ankle injury to complete the full 90 minutes in last weekend's 2-0 win at Blackpool and the 18-year-old, who signed a new contract with the club this week, will continue.

Rodgers has no new injury or suspension issues and will be hoping his side can continue their fine recent form which has seen them record three wins in their last four games.

Crystal Palace will be without Victor Moses and Nick Carle when they travel to Watford.

England Under-19 forward Moses was stretchered out of Palace's goalless draw against Birmingham on Tuesday night with a hamstring injury which could sideline him for a month.

Australian midfielder Carle starts a three-match ban for his sending-off in midweek.

Boss Neil Warnock is therefore short of numbers with defender Claude Davis, midfielder Shaun Derry and winger Paul Ifill all struggling with hamstring injuries.

Matt Lawrence filled in well for Davis at centre-half against City while Lee Hills, Sean Scannell and Shefki Kuqi will come into contention further up the pitch.

Centre-half Paddy McCarthy remains a few weeks away as he continues his recovery from shoulder surgery.
