West Brom AJ bid dismissed

A wildly optimistic bid by West Brom for Andrew Johnson has been rejected by Palace, according to reports.

Chairman Simon Jordan has made it abundantly clear that he has no intention of selling his star striker, despite the Eagles’ relegation to the Championship.

In fact, Jordan has gone on record to say that even £15m would not persuade him to part with the mercurial Johnson.

But that didn’t prevent West Brom apparently chancing their arm with an offer of just £2m plus Welsh hitman Robert Earnshaw.

Unsurprisingly, the bid is believed to have been rejected out-of-hand.
