Wilfried Zaha Player Focus

Last updated : 15 December 2016 By DSG

Zaha has been on fire lately

Scoring more goals this season than the whole of last year and assisting more goals already than his previous 3 seasons added together

Averaging more shots, key passes, dribbles, successful dribbles, accurate crosses and tackles per game than any other season Zaha has had in the premier league.

His form is currently unstoppable and with that comes the worry of keeping him once the January transfer window opens

He is a pivotal attacking player home and away for Palace he even has one up on the Ballon dÂ’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to the highest rated players away from home in EuropeÂ’s top 5 leagues

Lionel Messi is top of the table with a score of 8.73 and Wilfried Zaha comes in 4th with a score of 8.23 below Neymar (8.39) and above Cristiano Ronaldo (8.13).

Zaha should be in the England squad the fact that team-mate Andros Townsend has been getting a call up ahead of Zaha proved the last straw

Zaha has recently confirmed his switch to the Ivory Coast with the desire to play football at an international level

Only time will tell if Zaha is offered a way back into the England team after previously earning 2 caps

Current England Manager Gareth Southgate is set to hold talks with the former Manchester United player to try and win Zaha back.
