Yeovil v Crystal Palace

Last updated : 09 August 2010 By BBC Sport

Crystal Palace are without new signing Owen Garvan after he was called up to the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 squad to face Estonia.

Neil Danns is unavailable as he serves the final match of a three-game ban and David Wright remains out injured.

• These clubs have only faced each other twice in their history.

• Both matches were FA Cup ties, and both saw Yeovil succeed when they were a Southern League club. They won 3-0 in the first round in 1934, and 3-1 in the second round in 1963.

Have your say on the game

• Since becoming a league club in 2003, Yeovil have gone out of the League Cup at the first-round stage four times.

• The Glovers, who were renowned giantkillers in the FA Cup when they were a non-league outfit, have conceded a total of nine goals in their last two League Cup ties, against Middlesbrough and Norwich.

• Terry Skiverton is looking for the first League Cup win of his managerial career.

Crystal Palace

• Crystal Palace are aiming to qualify for the second round for the third year running.

• The three-time semi-finalists are on the look-out for their 75th win in a League Cup tie, and a 50th clean sheet in the competition.

• But it's five years since the Eagles last kept a clean sheet in the competition.
