Young striker out on loan

Oldham have signed young Palace striker Lewis Grabban on a one-month loan deal.

The 18-year-old is considered too raw to break into the Palace side, but should get plenty of first-team opportunities with the Latics.

"Lewis is a young striker with bags of potential," said Oldham boss John Sheridan.

"We hope he can do for us what Jermaine Defoe did for Bournemouth a few years ago."

Grabban should get the chance to pile further misery upon struggling Millwall at the weekend, as Oldham travel to the Den.

Millwall have got just one point from their first three League One games and were trounced 5-1 at Chesterfield last week.
