Blow for Swindlehurst

Dave Swindlehurst's reserve side have finished as runners up in the Avon Insurance combination league. QPR won their final match of the season against Brighton to pip Palace for the title by one point. Palace had been sweating on the result since they themselves had won on Monday evening to go 2 points clear, and had hoped that Brighton would do them a favour (fat chance of that!), but it was not to be.
