Former Aston Villa star Hassan Kachloul was the match winner for Palace, firing home a cracking free-kick just before half-time.
But Palace were made to work hard for the victory, after play-off hero Neil Shipperley was sent off in the 70th minute.
Kachloul is on trial with Palace at the moment, and the Eagles also included new signings Nicola Ventola and Wayne Andrews.
