Palace managed to come away from the Bescot Stadium with a point from a match that we were scarcely in. Walsall ccould have been out of sight had their finishing matched their approach work. Thomas Mhyre pulled off a couple of decent saves to ensure that we gained a point. Walsall had on loan defender Chris Baird red carded for a cynical tug on Andy Johnson and it was really only at this time that Palace looked in the game. Plenty to work on this week. We visit Stoke on Tuesday and a point gained there will bee a good evenings work. The front two still look way off the pace and unless the service improves I can't see us scoring too many. The pre season forcast of a play off place looks an awful long way off.
