Palace should receive a timely boost ahead of Sunday’s game at Brighton with the return of several key players from injury.

Andrew Johnson is expected to be fit and ready to play at the Withdean after two months on the sidelines.

The two-week break for internationals has also enabled a number of other first-team regulars to return to full fitness.

"We will have Tony Popovic and Mikele Leigertwood back from respective calf and ankle injuries," Dowie told the South London Press.

"Andy Johnson and Aki Riihilahti could both play, while Danny Granville will be a lot closer to a return."
