Iain Dowie returns to Selhurst Park

Dowie is prepared to face the crowd whatever reception they give him.

"I will go back there as Coventry's manager and embrace whatever they give me, whether that is boos, cheers or shouts, you just have to take that on the chin, but I know that I did a good job at Palace and that's all that matters to me," said Dowie.

"I am looking forward to it. "It is a tough old place to go to and it is going to be a hot atmosphere, so it is a good game for us."

The fued between Dowie and Simon Jordan has been well documented and the Palace chairman couldn't care less either way what reception Dowie gets.

"I couldn't care less what kind of reception he gets from the fans," Jordan said. "While he was here he achieved something that other managers haven't achieved for some time, which is to take us into the Premier League. He also relegated us and failed to get us back up when we had a good chance. Whatever reception he gets will be the one he merits."

Dowie and Coventry have the bragging rights at the moment as they are 3rd from top of the Championship while Palace are 4th from bottom after three defeats in a row.
