Jordan renews Selhurst purchase bid

Simon Jordan is prepared to heal the rift between himself and Selhurst Park owner Ron Noades in an attempt to buy back the ground.

Jordan bought Palace in the summer of 2000 – but it was a deal that saw ownership of Selhurst remain with former Eagles chairman Ron Noades.

The issue has been a sticking point ever since, with both parties miles apart in their valuations of the stadium.

For the first time, however, it looks as though Jordan is willing to put aside the personal differences that have held up any chance of deal – though not without aiming another sly dig at Noades.

"My relationship with Ron has not been perfect. He is a bully and I do not like bullies," Jordan told BBC London 94.9.

"But I want to put aside the issues that we have with each other and try and do a deal which will let the club advance and let me buy the stadium."
