Fans tired of the never-ending queues on the box-office phone line now have another option – buying online.
The club has today launched a Web-based sales service, enabling Palace fans to snap up their tickets on the Net.
The service is being run by events specialists TicketWeb (and not Wayahead, who oversaw the somewhat trouble-fraught sales of Palace’s play-off final tickets last season).
It will be subject to all the usual ticket-buying restrictions, (for instance, fans have to buy a category B ticket in order to qualify for one for a category A game). Members and season-ticket holders will also have to enter their TeamCard reference number in order to get any relevant discounts.
The ease of booking online will, however, come at a price. Fans will have to pay a £1.50 service fee per ticket, as well as another £1.50 for postage.
All the home games for the rest of the season as well as some away games are on sale online now.
